![]() The only downside is that the taskbar is visible, but that is way better then manually pausing the video constantly. That way the VOD(in fullscreen) was not highlighted/in focus and the buffer size could keep itself up without any problems. THE FIX: What worked for me was to open the VOD in fullscreeen, press start menu on the keyboard open a windows folder and click on the taskbar then close the windows folder. While monitoring the video stats I start troubleshooting this in a different window while the VOD was playing I noticed that the VOD had no problem keeping the buffer size up while I focused on a different window, but as soon as I moved back to the VOD the buffer size started to drop again. Pausing and starting the stream again would produce the same cycle to start over again.īeing sick of pausing the stream for 10 seconds every 30 seconds I started to google the problem and I see that many people have been experiencing this in the last couple of years. The buffer size would only ever go to about 30 seconds and then stop buffering so the buffer size tick down to zero before stopping stream to buffer up to 30 seconds again, but the stream never starts automatically.  Posted December 13, 2013.
